"Barduche"

1st March - Spring is coming
1st March is the day when Romanian girls and women receive "martzishoare" and wear them for few weeks until the religious celebration called "Florii" comes . There are some symbols used to bring luck : snowdrops, chimney sweeper, horse shoe, clover and other spring symbols.

Endless song
Students from all grades involved in this project from our school( 1st A, 2nd A, 3rd A, 4th B) gathered to sing together the Endless Song.
Sade rata pe butoi (The duck sitting on a cask)
Maria's students sang this song for you. It's about a duck sitting on a cask and counting from 1 to 10. Children from 1st and 2nd grades like it very much.
It is fun to play the barduche (small earthenware water – pitcher)
Playing the barduche is very, very fun... Must blow into the water, which is full of it. But ... sometimes the water comes out. It enters in a nose, washes the children's eyes.Therefore appears smile on children's face that prevents them singing. Watch the swallow - she dances flawlessly. Are you using a barduche in your songs?

Nai or Pan Flute
Dear, Valy and friends!
I'd like to share with you something interesting about Romanian traditional musical instruments. When Valy posted the children's video "Alunelu, Alunelu", I remembered that I've listened to its "nai" or pan flute yet. It was when I visited Romania the last year.
The nai is a Romanian and also Moldavian diatonic pan flute used since the 17th century and used in Lăutari formations. It is best known as the instrument played by Gheorghe Zamfir/Wikipedia/.

Alunelu, Alunelu
The song ALUNELU is a traditional Romanian song in our folklore and children learn it when they are 6-7 years old. We enjoyed singing and dancing for you.
